• Coordinator of the Research Area in "Ethics and Social Responsibility"

• Uruguayan, born 4/7/1938
• Public Accountant. Graduated at Faculty of Economics and Administration, University of the Republic (Uruguay) in 1969.  Diploma in Finance (postgraduate degree) at the same university (2000).
• Assistant profesor since 1966. Former General Accounting,  Accounting II  and  Superior Accounting  Professor
• Professor in postgraduate, upgrading and updating courses at the at Faculty of Economics and Administration.

His current line of investigation is related to MERCOSUR  Accounting Standards Harmonization,  Basic Accounting  Theory and Agricultural Accounting,   and also Ethics & Social Responsibility Entrepreneur.

He has published numerous scholarly articles on subjects of his specialty, and has participated in several academic exchanges with foreign universities.

Former chairman of the Committee of the Accounting Research Association and the Inter-American Accounting Association of Accountants, Economists and Managers, Uruguay. Chairman of the Committee on Ethics of the above Association.

Member of the Standing Committee on Appropriate  Accounting Standards designated by the Executive Branch of Uruguay to advise on the subject.

Participated of co-government activities as a  member of the Faculty Council and the Faculty Senate, both as student and as a professor.

In his professional activity he has served as a Tea Deloitte & Touche partner in the Audit and Consulting Departments. 

He has served very important core business companies as well as  the Uruguayan state, being  in charge of  major projects funded by international agencies.
